A large reclaimed British industrial pendant by Thorlux, in original green vitreous enamel with a white interior. Simple, honest and built for working life, it brings genuine factory character to a kitchen, dining or commercial interior. It comes fully wired with a metre of cable and a ceiling plate, ready to hang.
The Shade
A spun steel industrial pendant shade with a stepped profile, finished in vitreous enamel: industrial green to the exterior and white to the interior for maximum reflectance. Reclaimed from British industrial use, the enamel shows wear consistent with age, including areas of light surface rust.
The Fitting
The shade has a fitter hole at the neck that seats directly onto a bayonet lampholder, so it hangs straight from the holder and cord with no separate gallery. It's a clean, minimal suspension that keeps the focus on the shade itself.
Thorlux
Thorlux is the lighting brand of F. W. Thorpe Ltd, founded in Birmingham in 1936 by Frederick William Thorpe. The company's early output centred on vitreous enamelled shades for factories, workshops and mills, built for durability in working environments.
