A remarkable and extremely rare four arm articulating dental theatre light, retaining its original Holophane pine cone prismatic glass shades and highly engineered mechanical arm system.
Originally designed for use in early twentieth century dental surgeries, this form of lighting was engineered to provide precise directional illumination, allowing practitioners to position light exactly where required during procedures. The articulating arm mechanism allows each shade to be individually angled, demonstrating the sophisticated mechanical design typical of specialist medical lighting of the period.
The fixture features a striking Art Deco industrial aesthetic, combining solid brass construction with contrasting chrome sections, creating a beautiful interplay of warm and cool metals. The four arms extend from a central hub, supporting the large Holophane pine glass shades which diffuse light through their characteristic prismatic pattern.
