A huge illuminated railway station clock by renowned Great British Clockmaker Gents of Leicester circa 1960.
Salvaged from a train station in Yorkshire where it was originally wall mounted to provide time for the stations commuters.
Straight tapered hand design with hand painted digits including red 24 hour numerals and Gent of Leicester markings dating the clock from the 1960's.
The external of the clock remains as original but the internals have been modernised to meet current electrical standards. The new LED chip lighting can be controlled and scheduled via a mobile app and or remote and the clocks hands are controlled by a new high torque synchronous main movement guaranteed for 12 months.
A 240v mains supply is required for the running of this clock.
A true statement piece that is both a stunning feature and a rare collection piece which will look amazing on any wall in any interior providing the space is large enough.
