A fabulous example of a heavy duty industrial cast iron clock by Gents of Leicester.
Made in Leicester, England circa 1940.
This cast iron variety of Gents of Leicester clocks known as model C38 were first introduced in 1914 and were designed for extreme environments, in order to survive any weather conditions it may have faced in industrial settings such as factories during the war effort in the decades that followed.
The remainder of the existing paint has been retained and patination created from years of extreme conditions the clock has been cleaned up and clear matt lacquer to lock in the wonder finish. The existing trademark Gents clock hands have been mounted to a new mains synchronous high torque movement.
An imposing and iconic timepiece that will create a wonderful feature for any wall in any interior.
