Antique Brass Double Sided Ceiling Mounted Clock.

A rarely found small size clock that is made entirely from heavy gauge brass.

Original model C288M double dial deck clock designed to fix directly to a ceiling via the suspension bracket and were typically found on a ships bridge.

Ships such as the SS Orion & QEII were examples that all had Gents of Leicester installations.

Made in England circa 1950 by renowned British clock makers Gents of Leicester.

The clock retains its original slave movements which would have originally ran from a master clock controlling all the ships clocks.

The clock has been professionally refurbished and now runs from a modern impulse driver creating the 30 second impulses that the original master once did.

The impulse driver is included in the sale and can be either mains or battery powered.

A truly wonderful clock that is a perfect functioning feature piece for any modern interior and given its unique size and mounting will world very well over a kitchen island feature.
