Antique Red Painted Factory Clock by Gents of Leicester.
Stunning factory worn red paintwork on this original factory clock along with flaked enamel paint to the clock dial.
Clock dial marked 'A G BURRELL & CO LTD' of SHEFFIELD and 'PULSYNETIC ELECTRIC'.
We believe A G Burrell were an agent of Gents of Leicester who would of originally manufactured the clock circa 1920.
The clock retains its original slave movement which dates the clock to this time period and can be seen on the snippet of the original Gents of Leicester sales brochure dated 1925.
Interestingly the movement back case has been signed and dated 1964 which we can only assume was a service carried out on the timepiece.
A beautiful timepiece in completely original condition with fantastic aging and colourway will create a wonderful functioning feature piece for any interior.
The clock comes complete with a modern impulse unit to power the original clock movement imitating the job the original master clock would of carried out for all the factories clocks. The impulse driver can be either mains or battery operated at the buyers request.
