A scarce Art Deco Bakelite wall clock by Gents of Leicester, with an unusual silver dial marked "Electro-Matic" and "Gents of Leicester, Made in England". A variant rarely seen.
The Case
Stepped Art Deco moulded Bakelite case retaining its two metal test contacts, which carry through to the front of the case so engineers could check voltage and current through the clock with a meter without removing it from the wall.
The Dial
Silver dial bearing the Electro-Matic name and Gents of Leicester, Made in England makers marks.
The Movement
The original Electro-Matic movement has been replaced with a high torque Seiko quartz movement, running on a single battery, for reliable everyday use.
