Antique machinist lamp circa 1920’s manufactured in England by John Dugdill and Co.
A rarely seen large version of the renowned Dugdill lamp with decorative detailing to the base and blue enamel coolie shade.
Using our catalogue archive it seems likely that this model would have originally been hung from the ceiling above a work station, in particular a sewing station or production line.
The metal work has been protected with several coats of beeswax and buffed to a shine locking in the beautiful patina whilst original brass & copper elements have been exposed, lightly cleaned and polished.
The lamp has a small section of damage to the base which adds to its charm and reflects its industrial past.
The lamp comes wired & tested with 2m of our Premium Rayon fabric cable in colour mustard and a choice of switching options on request.
This lamp would look great in an office over a work station or at home in a reading corner.
