A refined early 20th-century Holophane pendant of architectural quality, sourced from the historic stock holdings of W. Sitch & Co, Soho.
This example features the more desirable Blondel “Stiletto” bowl with pronounced prismatic cutting and the distinctive star-cut base — a variant known for producing a stronger radial light pattern than later simplified versions. The glass is stamped Holophane 6310 and retains the original 1909 patent reference, placing it firmly within the company’s formative period of technical innovation.
Unlike standard industrial fittings, this model sits within a heavy cast brass frame with elegantly curved supports and a turned central gallery. The metalwork has developed a deep, natural patina over time, giving the piece visual weight while allowing the prismatic glass to remain the focal point.
This fitting comes from a rare run of seven matching examples from the same Sitch collection, making it particularly suited to projects requiring consistency across corridors, staircases, kitchen runs, or hospitality interiors.
