Rarely seen extra large 14" diameter version of this iconic three part design by Holophane.
Each glass piece is marked with Holophane makers marks, ensuring authenticity.
The heavy brass gallery shines with quality craftsmanship and has been highly polished along with the retaining clips to emphasis the elegant design of the light fitting.
There is a small amount of damage to the tip of the bottom (nipple) plate which is finished in the star cut design.
Overall the light fitting is a real statement piece of large proportions and emitting the trademark Holophane charming glow.

Holophane's "Reflector - Refractors" were developed following the commission of the company to provide the illumination of St Pauls Cathedral, London in 1923 requiring greater glare and brightness.
As seen in our 1937 catalogue snippet the Holophane Reflector - Refractors form totally enclosed prismatic glassware, originally designed for lighting Public Buildings, School, Offices and Shop interiors.
