Rare and stunning blue Holophane prismatic glass shades with industrial cast iron fittings and brass holding screws.
Reclaimed from an old industrial mill these shades were made in England circa 1920.
Glass is stamped "PATd 1910 No28182" "ENGLAND" and "HOLOPHANE 531"
Cast iron fittings also having the "HOLOPHANE" makers marks embossed into their finish.
The vintage Holophane shades also have what the company called their "VELVET FINISH" which is a sort of frosted / etched satin finish rather than the glass being completely clear.
The blue color of the glass provides a pop of color while still maintaining a classic, vintage aesthetic.
