A substantial cast iron flameproof pendant by Maxlume, manufactured in England for hazardous and military environments.
These fittings were reclaimed from a military installation in Lincolnshire and represent true engineered industrial lighting — designed for areas where highly flammable materials were used or stored.

The original glass is stamped:
“TESTED 90 LBS PER SQUARE IN”
The construction is multi-part and bolted, designed to contain any internal spark. The deep radial cooling fins and substantial flange construction give this piece real architectural weight.

With or without the large grey enamel shade
The optional enamel shade transforms the fitting from pure industrial utility to something more sculptural and interior-focused.
Presented here in unrestored condition, retaining honest industrial wear.
Restoration
This fitting is currently shown in our unrestored section.
It will be fully restored, rewired and prepared for safe interior installation prior to dispatch.
As part of restoration we typically:
