The glass is classic Moonstone—translucent and milky white when off, transforming into a fiery, opalescent pearl when illuminated. It is cradled by an exceptional heavy cast retaining ring finished in bright nickel plate. The metalwork is detailed with a crisp Greek Key (Meander) frieze, a timeless Neoclassical motif that adds geometric rigour to the soft curves of the glass. Unusually for a bowl of this type, it is supported by a heavy-duty 6-way suspension system, indicating it was designed for a significant commercial or public space.
Condition Note: As is often the case with hand-blown glass of this scale, the bowl is slightly "out of round" (not a perfect circle). This is a quirk of the original manufacturing process, not damage, and does not affect the stability or visual impact of the piece when hanging.
