A very early and stunning cast iron factory clock by renowned clockmaker Gents of Leicester.
Made in Leicester, England Circa 1918
Hand painted face with wonderful signs of wear, PULYSYNETIC ELECTRIC and Roman Numerals cast into the face of the entirely cast iron clock, retaining the original rare weighted slave movement.
Introduced in 1914 and known as the C24 or Underground clock these heavy duty cast iron clocks were weather sealed and designed for use in extreme conditions.
A stunning piece of history and design that can still act as a functional timepiece over 100 years after it was first put into use along with making a beautiful feature wall piece in any interior.
The clock is provided with a modern impulse unit to run the existing movement which can be mains or battery powered.
