Extra Large Antique Station Clock by Gents of Leicester
An exceptional steel railway station clock by English clock maker Gents of Leicester circa 1960.
Stunning industrial design with steel casing retaining the original distressed black paint and beautiful distressed ageing to the hand painted face which is 24 inch in diameter with the Gents of Leicester makers marks to the lower centre of the dial.
This clock was designed to be used externally originally as it is a sealed case with access via a smaller rear panel or removal of the back plate completely.
Installed in many public buildings such as railway, tram and bus depots along with factories and military facilities these clocks have seen decades of history pass bye and possess character that cannot be replicated.
A stunning feature piece for any wall space bring a little industrial chic that can work both private and commercial interiors.
The clock has a new high torque mains movement installed (240v) to power the existing trademark Gents of Leicester arrow style hands which can be adjusted and set via the protected adjusted rob at the base of the clock.
