Vintage Industrial Ex Post Office Octagonal Wall Clock Clock by Gent of Leicester.

Made in England circa 1940 by British by Gents of Leicester.

Beautiful and rare clock with octagonal polished bakelite case.

Original hand painted dial with Roman Numerals and bearing the G.P.O markings representing the General Post Office and the George VI Royal Cypher.

We have carefully cleaned back band polished the clock case to reveal the beautiful mottled finish of the bakelite.

The clock retains its existing hands which have been converted to run from a high torque quartz movement powered by a single AA battery.

The artists figure in the images is 6ft 1" to give a representation of scale.
