Stunning Heavy Cast Industrial Bulkhead light by Heyes & Co Ltd
A rare oversized heavy industrial bulkhead wall lights manufactured by Heyes & Company of Wigan circa 1950.
Originally installed in the 1950's these extreme wall lights were part of a large lot of industrial lights we were lucky to reclaim from a chemical mixing plant in Scotland, for the full find please see the Scottish Chemical Plant Find.
Superb casting details including "THE WIGAN" and unusual concave prismatic glass diffusers made by Chance Brothers & Company the pioneering Great British glassworks particularly know from making Fresnel Lenses for lighthouses from 1851.
As seen in the brochure snippet this model CL4165 has a hinged front panel allowing easy access to change the bulb.
These are large and imposing lights that look amazing either mounted to a wall, ceiling or even surface mounted and lit vertically.
The lights have been professionally restored with new CE certified electrical component and 2m of our premium fabric lighting cable, wired and ready to install.
