A rare run of unique enamel and cast steel pendants recovered from a textile factory on the outskirts of Manchester.
Manufactured circa 1940 by Manchester based Wardle Engineering Company in the UK, these ceiling pendants have a four-part construction consisting of cast and spun steel and vitreous enamel shades a beautiful combination of British engineering and design.
The green enamel shades bring a real pop of colour and a wonderful contrast against the stripped steel upper sections providing both an industrial and elegant look.
The steel components have been burnished and protected with several coats of beeswax enhancing the makers casting marks and the overall raw look of the industrial heritage of the light.
These pendant lights work great set in multiples over kitchen islands, tables and serveries and are suitable for both private and commercial lighting schemes.
