Small Vintage Bakelite Wall Clock by Gents of Leicester
A neat little bakelite wall clock.
Made in England circa 1960 by Gents of Leicester.
Gent of Leicester branding to the dial with tapered batton hands and modern arabic numerals in the Gill Sans typeface used by Gents from the late 1950 through to the 1980's until the demise of analog clocks and the brand.
The bakelite case has been cleaned and polished to expose the beautiful marbled effect of the bakelite.
The original hands have been adapted to run on a modern quartz movement for convenience and easy operation.
The clock was reclaimed from a Derbyshire school along with a large haul of other similar clocks.
