A striking run of industrial linear lighting by Walsall Conduits Ltd, these Calstar flameproof strip lights are a superb example of mid to late 20th century hazardous area lighting.
Constructed from cast aluminium with integrated end housings, each fitting encloses a heavy glass tube diffuser designed to protect the internal lamp in demanding environments. Originally fluorescent, these have now been updated to LED tubes, making them practical for modern use while retaining their industrial authenticity.
The fittings feature a steel reflector running the full length, enhancing light output and giving a clean, directional spread. The overall form is strong and architectural, with the elongated profile lending itself particularly well to commercial interiors, workshops, kitchens, or feature installations.
