A wonderful collection of mirrored glass light pendants by Derenco.
Made in England circa 1920.
These beautiful glass pendants formerly illuminated a haberdashery shop in Ripley in Derbyshire.
Amazingly the top floor of the shop had been sealed off leaving the shop layout as it would of been in the 1940's including these wonderful lights in situ.
The outer honeycombed shades are painted in silver bearing the Derenco logo with wonderful wear to the paintwork, the inner is finished with the silvered mercury glass giving stunning reflections, topped off with aged brass hooked galleries.
We carried out very delicate cleaning work on the glass shades, with the original galleries being beyond repair these have been removed and recycled and we have matched the shades with some new aged brass galleries.
These lights have bags of character and really work as a focal point in any style of room and especially work to illuminate a feature piece of furniture of artwork.
