A rare and unique railway station clock originally installed to Great Western Railways Swindon Station.
The large 26" double sided illuminated clock is from renowned British clockmaker Gents of Leicester and dates to the 1960's.
This unique clock has a sweeping second hands very rarely found on larger station clocks.
The 24 hour dials are marked 'Gent of Leicester' and 'Made in England' with the GWR ivory identification plate to the external of the clock case and original conduit hanging brackets have been retained.
The clock has been professionally restored in the Industrial Glow workshop.
Externally the clock is completely original and untouched, internally electrical components have been updated to modern standards benefiting from low energy LED lighting which can be controlled via remote or mobile app allowing scheduling of the lighting.
The clock retains the original slave movement which is controlled via a modern impulse driver which controls the minute and hour hands and the sweeping second hands run via separate 240v motors.
A stunning clock and piece of history that will make an exceptional functioning feature in any interior.
