An absolutely stunning large articulating lamp by John Dugdill & Co with heavy brass COG joints, brass shell shade and Admiralty Patent numbers embossed to the bulb holder and base along with the makers marks to the base.
Considered by many the creme de la creme of industrial lamp makers, John Dugdill was an early pioneer of industrial electrical fittings and lamps especially filing patents from the very early 1900's through to the 1950's.
The lamp base and bulb holder marked with Admiralty Patents AP9102 & AP7993A these are numeric part numbers the British Admiralty used to name various pieces of naval electrical equipment.
A large lamp with a reach of around 1600 mm which can be wall mounted or mounted to a desk / table or even used as a floor reading lamp however an additional base would have to be made, we could design and supply a polished steel base to suite if required.
