Huge 34" Vintage Station Clock by Gents of Leicester
Extra large steel railway station clock by English clock maker Gents of Leicester circa 1980.
A later Gents of Leicester clock branding the Chloride Gent marks to the dial, this style came into use in the late 70's / early 80's when the company was purchased and taken over by Honeywell.
This is a larger dial with the clean style and tapered baton hands well known with Gents of Leicester clocks. The dial and clock in general is in very good clean condition.
The three protruding mounting lugs exaggerate its industrial looks and the clock has a protected adjuster to the bottom of the case for advancing the time.
The clock retains its original slave movement which includes a modern impulse driver to run the clocks, this provides a satisfying click every 30 seconds moving the minute hand each impulse and can be either battery or mains operated.
