A superb original vintage factory clock reclaimed from British makers English Clock Systems Ltd.
This Art Deco inspired clock is likely an early 1940's version when clock makers S Smiths & Sons acquired a group of companies and started to display both the Smiths and English Clock Systems names on their dials before moving to the English Clock Systems Ltd for all of their commercial clock later in the 1940's.
The clock has been professionally restored.
Everything remains original, the original 240v mains powered synchronous movement has been cleaned, oiled and tested and keeps good time.
The green painted steel case has been dissembled cleaned and reassembled and the imperfections from years of industrial are clear to see and add to the character of this wonderful piece.
New fixing brackets have been manufactured and installed to the rear of the clock to allow safe wall mounting.
Theres a hatch to the lower section of the clock which allows access to change the time via the original adjustment rod.
The clock comes complete with our premium fabric cable and standard UK 3 pin plug with a 1A fuse installed.
The clock can be wired and adapted for use outside of the UK on request.
