A substantial mid-century Holophane enclosed industrial pendant featuring heavy cast aluminium construction and signature prismatic glass enclosure.

Documented in our 1960 Holophane catalogue (Model F.9813), though production of this series is believed to date back to the mid-1940s.

Originally specified for dustproof, moistureproof and vapourproof environments, these fittings combine technical performance with a highly sculptural architectural presence.

The glass features Holophane’s distinctive concentric prismatic patterning, engineered to maximise light distribution while reducing glare. When illuminated, the refraction creates exceptional depth and warmth.

A period catalogue excerpt (1960) confirms the model within Holophane’s enclosed industrial range, described as:

“Cast in silicon-aluminium alloy with prismatic glassware. For dustproof, moistureproof and vapourproof service.”

Originally offered in multiple wattage configurations up to 300W.

Finish & Restoration Options

The aluminium is currently presented in its original aged state, retaining its industrial patina.

However, restoration can be tailored to suit project requirements:
