A large original double sided railway platform clock.
Made in London England circa 1950 by English Clock Systems Ltd.
ECS or English Clock Systems were the commercial arm of "Smiths" S. Smith & Sons (England) Ltd until being renamed English Clock Systems Ltd in the early 1940's and were one of the largest commercial electric clock companies globally along with Gents of Leicester and Synchronome.
A superb and rare example, existing paint has been retained showing age related wear and tear adding to the clock character.
The existing slave movements have been retained and are now driven by a modern impulse driver unit which can be either battery or mains supplied.
An amazing functional statement piece that works well over kitchen islands and in interiors with higher ceilings.
