A Rare Large 24 hour Bakelite Cased Wall Clock by Gents of Leicester
A stunning vintage clock by British clockmaker Gents of Leicester, made in England circa 1930
An early C201 model constructed of a two part bakelite case in their largest offering in this form.
A rare 14" twenty four hour dial unusually for a clock of this age.
This model featured two contact points externally on the case which would allow engineers to test the clock circuit without removing from the wall.
The clock currently retains its original 30 second impulse movement which we can run via a impulse driver which would mimic the original master the clock would of ran from, alternatively we can convert the original hands to run from a modern high torque battery quartz movement.
A wonderful clock which due to its size and natural ageing is an ideal functioning wall feature piece in any modern interior.
