Originally manufactured in the early 1940s by Smiths English Clock Systems Limited, one of the most reputable commercial clock makers of the 20th century, along with Synchronome and Gents of Leicester.
Construction is ok a Bakelite case with an aluminium bezel, the bakelite cases of this clock have been polished giving a beautiful marbled appearance.
Originally these clocks would have all ran in sync from a master clock and the clocks would have been slaves on the circuit however the original slave movements and hands were not present so we have installed hands very close to the originals with a modern battery quartz movement for simple no fuss running.
