Made in Canterbury, England circa 1930.
Usually mounted on columns or wall brackets these lights would of illumined streets throughout the UK.
ESLA short for Electrical Street Lighting Aparatus Company made many variants of these light fittings in a whole array of shapes and sizes.
The lights have the makers marks and model on the casting BI MULTI ESLA CANTERBURY .
The lights have been converted to hanging pendants and create amazing statement pieces with the mirrored interiors producing an incredible atmospheric lighting effect bouncing the light in multiple directions.
The mirrored glass reflectors are showing the scars of years of external use which only adds to their charm and the illumination effect when the light bounces off them.
The lights have been finished in Farrow & Ball sulking room pink.
The lantern comes professionally restored with new electrical components, our premium round linen grey fabric cable, black chain and complimenting ceiling rose matched to the fitting.
