The Glass
A clear glass base, moulded into the aluminium shade, protects the bulb and internals from dust. That was essential on a pottery works floor.
The Frame
A spun aluminium body in a satin finish, topped by a porcelain section and a polished aluminium gallery. The mix of materials gives a sleek, unusual fitting that works on its own or in multiples.
Simplex Conduits Limited
Simplex Conduits Limited was a Birmingham-based British manufacturer of conduit, electrical fittings and industrial lighting. Its sealed fittings were widely used in dusty and damp works such as the Potteries.
