An exceptional steel railway station clock by English clock maker Gents of Leicester circa 1960.
Stunning industrial design, clean lines and imposing scale.
The clock is in excellent condition with extremely clean dial, trademark Gents of Leicester tapered baton hands and Gent of Leicester makers mark to lower centre of dial typical of their clocks from the second half of the 20th century.
Installed in many public buildings such as railway, tram and bus depots along with factories and military facilities these clocks have seen decades of history pass bye and possess character that cannot be replicated.
A stunning feature piece for any wall space bring a little industrial chic that can work both private and commercial interiors.
The clock has a new high torque mains movement installed (240v) or can be potentially converted to a battery operated quartz movement at the buyer request.
A 240v to 110v step down transformer can be supplied to US customers on request
