Oversized flameproof (FLP) industrial pendants made in England by Victor Products Ltd, circa 1950, recovered from a chemical mixing plant in Scotland.
The Glass
A thick, domed clear glass well protects the lamp. Around it sits a large green enamel diffuser shade. The diffusers were an optional extra, specified for areas that needed more focused light, and they give these fittings a distinctive look.
The Frame
Heavy-duty cast aluminium bodies, finished in our rusted patina and sealed to lock the finish in. The orange-brown tones of the patina contrast strongly with the green enamel. Cast markings around the body include the FLP ratings and the VICTOR maker's mark, and the original brass plates showing wattage, voltage and model number are intact.
